General
1. Avatars cannot be any wider than 120 pixels. No taller than 250. Avatars exceeding this size will not show up on the page.
2. Signatures can be no wider than 500, so that they do not stretch the pages they're on. As far as height goes, for your main signature, you may not exceed 250 height. For your tag, you may not exceed 120 height. There is no excuse for these huge tag/sig sets.
3. Avatars and signatures must be rated PG13 maximum. We don't want to see bras and underwear. We have children on this board, please respect their rights.
4. Offensive content in signatures will not be allowed. Gang insignia, drug supporting, racist comments, and swearing all fall under this category. To clarify, self-injury promoting avatars and signatures are not permitted as well. This is not due to being offensive as much as inappropriete on the board. While we are aware these things happen quite frequently in the real world, we would hope that MH members remember that this board is not all adults, but primarily young teenagers. Respect their rights as you'd like yours respected, please.
5. Dolls may only be used with permission from the original creator and may not be direct linked from their website.
6. Doll bases may not at any point be direct linked when providing them to a doll shop. You must upload them to Photobucket.com or another free server for direct linking.
7. You may only have one or two signature images. On the rare occasion that we allow three, it will be for blinkies and nothing else. This is to avoid excessive scrolling and longer load times, so that MH is more user-friendly on dialup connections.
8. You may not steal another's works and claim them for your own. In other words, we don't want to see you claiming a signature someone else made as your creation. It's not very fair to the original creator, and usually upsets them.
9. You must adhere to the rules provided by the shop owners. Each individual shop on MH has its own rules to be followed posted in the owner's explanation thread. Ignoring these rules will resort in you being warned or worse, as it is disrespectful to all involved.
10. You may not order for more than one character per post in a shop, and you may not take up more than one slot per shop. It is inconsiderate to other people who have been waiting.
11. Shop owners are to concern themselves with the moderation of their own shops only. While we understand you may be trying to help rule enforcement is down to MH administrators, you may only enforce the rules of your own shop, no one else’s.
12. In further explanation of rule 11, if a shop is full, and you are a graphics maker, you are NOT allowed to delete other people's orders in order to put yours in. That is abuse of your moderator priviledges and will have your shop access terminated immediately. We can find out when you do this because we have a moderation log. The only people who are allowed to delete posts in a shop are the shop owner and administrators, unless the post is your own.
13. You may not place orders in multiple shops at one time. This means if you have posted an order in one shop do not then go on to post the same order in three other shops. Taking up all of the free shop spaces at one time is very inconsiderate to our other members. If you are seen doing this all of your orders will be deleted until you can choose one shop to place your order in.

Regarding Fines
We do fine members who break the rules. This goes for shop makers as well. Familiarize yourself with these rules. If we find any shop owners making signatures in violation of these sizes, we will not only delete their shop, but we will fine them. And anyone who uses the images will also be fined. Typical fines are 20 sickles each offense, going up 5 each time. Third offense, for example, will be 30 sickles.
1. First offense; 20 sickles from each party and temporary loss of shop for whoever made it.
2. Second offense; 25 sickles from each party, complete loss of shop for whoever made it.
3. Third offense; 30 sickles from each party and no sig for a week for both.
4. Fourth offense; 35 sickles from each party, no sig for a month, and a warning.
5. Fifth offense; 40 sickles from each party, permanent no sig and a warning (or, if warned, moved to moderated/muted/etc..)
Regarding Dolls
1. Doll makers must credit the base maker where the doll is originally posted, so that they get the credit that is due.
2. Candybar dolls are not allowed on MH. Please also do not use dolls made on a candybar base as this is illegal. Candybar is a Korean paysite and you may not use their graphics without licence. The same applies for dolls and bases from Tokkida, Haduri, Misuya, Lolido and similar paysites. We know that sometimes you will find these dolls on websites othan than the ones linked above. In general, note that if you are not 100% sure you know the doll's creator or doubt the honesty of the doller: Do not use the doll!
3. The only bases allowed on MH are ones free-for-all-use, and believe us, we find out when you use them.
4. Premade dolls are allowed to be used, given that the doll maker is creditted in your signature and that the doll is one available for adoption.
5. Please don't use obscenely huge dolls in your signatures. Typically they are best for avatars.
6. No claiming other people's dolls as yours. People bust their butts making them. You owe them that courtesy.
Regarding Other Shops
This section is only for graphics shops. However for the most part we will only allow avatars/signatures here. If you have a different type of graphic you'd like to sell, send a PM to one of the administrators in charge (Ophelia Baillon most of the time; if you can't reach her or she can't answer the question, contact Marvolo Riddle) and we'll let you know if it's all right.
Labeling
HoS means Hogwarts Official Shop, permitted to sell graphics for sickles.
Free Shop means free items posted there, for whomever the maker deems worthy. No requests allowed here.
Requests means thread to request special graphics outside of signatures and avatars.
Game means a game.
Nominations is where you nominate someone for a Signature/Avatar related poll.
Poll is where you vote for Signature/Avatar related things.
