Established Family Backgrounds

General Information:

The Established Family Background (EFB) system has been developed to give an outline of social status within the characters on the board and to ensure that there is a wide variety of professions portrayed in the role play for a more interesting and diversified community.

The reworked system is actually rather simple. Each pureblood, influential or rich family has to have an EFB. Halfbloods that are neither influential nor rich do not necessarily need to have an EFB, but it is recommended anyway. For family lines (half- or pureblood) that have the status Middle Class, Lower Middle Class or, Working Class you only have to fill out the basic information and it wouldn't be necessary to write anything in the "history" section although some sentences about a possible family business / traditional line of work and the family's point of view concerning bloodstatus / muggles would be nice to see. All other statuses, i.e. Influential and Rich (after the application has been accepted) and also Upper Middle Class, require a history section that describes why the family has this status.

To make things clearer here are the colours for the different statuses: Influential, Rich, Upper Middle Class, Middle Class, Lower Middle Class, Working Class
