Introduction

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a co-educational boarding school where children of the British Isles possessing magical abilities receive training to become fully qualified witches and wizards. Students are between the ages of 11 and 18 years of age. Hogwarts is managed by a Headmaster, who is assisted by a Deputy Headmaster. The Headmaster answers to a twelve member Board of Governors. Students are required to pay for their own robes, uniforms, books and various needed supplies, however there is a fund available for those students in need. There are no fees for attending Hogwarts otherwise.
